The ceremony is the highlight of the day; it’s the most memorable as you make promises to one another which will confirm your love and plans for the future. What you say and what is done in the ceremony seals the relationship between you.
You will need to give your ceremony careful thought and attention, as this will be a lasting memory for you both. You also need to be happy and comfortable with your celebrant; and trust that everything will be created in an intelligent, thoroughly professional way with fun, imagination and creativity.
Knowledge is the key to my ceremonies and ask for a fee which expresses the work involved
My fee includes initial meeting, writing first draft of ceremony and revising draft until it’s just right for you both. Liaising with people involved in ceremony, rehearsal of ceremony, which may include readers, singers and musicians, supporting family and friends, use of ritual, family objects, and of course conducting on the day the ceremony with heart warmth feeling and meaning.
The payment is made in 3 stages.
At the initial meeting I ask for the first payment which is offset against the cost should you wish to proceed.
I then ask for the second payment for the first draft of the ceremony to go ahead, this is a non refundable deposit.
I will invoice you for the remainder of the fee (third payment), payable prior to the ceremony plus any agreed expenses incurred beforehand.
Please call for a no obligation quotation.
I am also able to provide a PA System if required, useful for large areas or ceremony’s outside

The Circle of Life. Wedding Ceremonies will enable you to declare your love for one another, reflect on your achievements and responsibilities, your hopes, dreams, aspirations and joyously make commitments for your future together.
I work with you to make absolutely sure that your ceremony is unique and personal.
I can conduct Ceremonies in all sorts of special and magical places and can offer advice and ideas about venues.
To marry in this country, the legal requirement is that a man and a woman will stand in front of a registrar in a place that is licensed for Civil Marriage. You will also need two witnesses.
You would both repeat the Declaration and Contracting Words separately in front of a Registrar. Sign the register and that is it, you are legally married! You do not have to exchange rings at this point.
You can arrange this official marriage during your lunch break, or even early on the day of your Wedding Ceremony. As long as you have the legal documentation, I can conduct the Wedding Celebration to create the more personal and heartfelt part of the marriage.
As the legal side will have already been taken care of, there is no time of the day, night or place that you may not hold your Wedding Ceremony. Choose a place you both love to be together, that magical place or venue of your choice. It can be in the house, garden, hotel, village hall, a pub, beach, or forest to name but a few.
Getting the best from your ceremony
Do think carefully about whom you would like to invite and whether you would like them to be involved in the actual ceremony. Would you like to involve family and friends for example?
Talk to one another and think about the promises you would like to make. This is a perfect opportunity to capture the basis of your relationship and choose promises that have a special meaning for you both.
Most couples exchange rings, but also consider offering each other a special gift or tokens of your commitment during the ceremony.
Make the ceremony suit your needs and feelings. Try to make the occasion unique to you both through the promises and readings you choose.
Include music, poetry and readings! All these elements work towards enhancing your ceremony and can express your sentiments beautifully, making it totally your own.
What is the cost involved.
Everyone has to give notice of intent to marry. Wherever you are going to be married, it will involve making an appointment at your local Registry Office. You’ll need to take along certain documents (they will inform you of these when you phone for an appointment). There will be a charge for this.
The legal ceremony at the Registry Office involves another payment, which will include the price of a Marriage Certificate.
Remember you would both repeat the Declaration and Contracting Words separately in front of a Registrar. Sign the register and then you are legally married!
When you add together my fee and the cost involved at the Registry Office, you will find it will still be cheaper than paying for a Registrar to attend licensed venues.
When working out your budget, you can either save the money or spend it on other items, which will give you the wedding of your dreams.
You may wish to use my services as a Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies at a reduced rate at the Wedding Breakfast - please call for more information and a no obligation quotation.
